This is a beautiful quality cupboard unit dating back to the 1970s manufactured from Elm. It has traditional latch handles characteristic of Ercol craftmanship. This cupboard unit is very versatile and would be an asset to any hallway, living room, dining room or kitchen.
The top has been stripped back to its natural finish and protected with layer of clear finishing wax to reveal the natural beauty of the wood. The base has been carefully prepared and painted with three coats of Dove Grey chalk paint to give a contemporary look before being carefully waxed to preserve the look of the piece. The interior has been polished and waxed to maintain the traditional Ercol style to contrast with its updated exterior.
This cupboard unit may have had a dresser / shelf on the top during its past life. As a result there are 2 locator holes in the top (see photo).
